‘Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and eat with you, and you with me.’ The voice of Jesus to the Apostle John, in the Book of Reveleation. Simple, but with profound consequences if we place ourselves as the listener. Here’s a poem..
I see a door,
but not a door. Closed,
filled in, barring the way. Safe.
That’s me.
No boat rocking,
even with the knocking.
Who’s there?
Answer there is
none.
Gone!
There it is again,,tap, tap,tap….
I’ll be with you
when I’ve opened the door.
Be patient,
it may take some time.
Thank you
for caring …and
never giving up.
