There was something very engaging about this photograph, taken a couple of months ago. A timelessness which transcends the twists and turns of human history.
It speaks of simpicity and understanding and hope. I am by nature not a particularly patient person, but these two fishermen exemplify the need, in our mad rushing world to take time and to be aware.
To be patient is to have time to look around, to sense what is just beyond sight and hearing; something that might be within us, but difficult to pin down. Life can buffet us and leave us disorientated; these moments, have always been for me, learning points. I need to find patience in order to hear what God is saying. Often, it is the obvious, stirring me in the face!
