Autumn is a season of transformation. The other day I captured this moment as we were walking in Druridge Bay Country Park. I was captivated by the vibrancy of the leaves, both on the tree and those that had fallen onto the path. It felt like a gift and I had to stop and give thanks in the receiving of it!
This country Park was once an open cast coal mine which at the end of its usefulness, was landscaped and returned to nature….transformed and healing are two words that spring to mind.
Transforming moments,
of colour and blessing,
giving and receiving,
resting and seeing.
Ripped from the ground
and fed to fires,
Now healed and offered
to sight
and smell
and imagination.
Great lung of creation,
breathing in,
held
and exhaled.
The blessing of
transformation
in each precious moment
of grace and hope
and thankfulness.
