At this time of the year, the play of light in all kinds of situations and moments can draw our thoughts to the Light beyond all light; Jesus Christ. We are rapidly nearing Christmas, in a year that has been challenging for all of us.
I was captivated by the play of light from the low winter Sun om the marram grass in the dunes. All I can hear are the words from the opening of John’s Gospel; ‘The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it’.
Wherever you are, whatever moment you find yourself in, let those words rest in your heart and sooth your spirit.
