Footprints….all unique. I remember following the footprints of a four footed dinosaur, (on a field trip in Dorset) made 250 million years ago. After a couple of metres the four footed animal seemed to split in two, with one set going left and the other to the right. No explanation or means of understanding; a mystery to this day!!
The footprints above can’t be deciphered easily…possibly the impressions of a child’s feet, or an animal. So much mystery in our world, and perhaps even our own lives.
When it comes down to it, the travelling and the journey is the key thing. Not how we start or how we finish, but how we journey.
The moving and changing throughout our life journey moulds who we are and what we have been or might be. Our companions on the way can help or hinder as they travel with us and we with them. Different perspectives and understanding.
I have always felt that everyone who has been part of my journey has some influence on my steps. Here are the words of Jesus, which I think speak to our journeys;
‘Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.‘ Travelling in the light, not walking in the darkness. It’s a promise we’d do well to reflect upon as we continue on our journeys.
Enjoy the path and embrace the light!
