I hope you had an opportunity to reflect upon this image. I tried to go back to it when I got a moment, in the past 24 hours. The really interesting thing is, that each time I’ve come back to it something different has come into my consciousness.
Sometimes the figure appears to be walking up a slope on a stone floor, other times the figure seems to be walking on the edge of a precipice. But always, the walk is towards the light; the unknown, but beckoning and full of hope.
The figure is carrying a bag on their shoulder. The interpretation of what might be carried, in a sense is unimportant.
As you have reflected on the photograph, perhaps during the day, within your own thought process, what you see and understand changes. The constant inner conversation that sometimes can reveal the way our soul is leading.
Throughout the past day, one verse has lodged itself in my mind; ‘The eternal God is your refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms.’ Words of Moses to the people of Israel, before his death. These are mind blowing words to each of us, particularly if you add your own name after ‘your refuge’.
As you allow those words to wash around conscious mind and look at the photograph, make a note of words or impressions that lodge in your thoughts. Be suprised and overwhelmed by the power of this simple sentence.
Let the light draw you to the refuge of the everlasting arms!
