I have no idea whether owls contemplate, but this youngster seems to be ‘in the zone’ as they say! I have a hunch that they might contemplate in their own unique way; after all they are part of creation!
Here are some words of Jesus recorded in Matthew’s Gospel, Chapter 6, verses 26-27 ; ‘Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
I think these words should lead us into a moment of contemplation. Take a moment of ‘stillness’, give your chattering internal conversation a break. Turn your heart to the God of Love. Follow the example of owl shaped part of creation!
