From tawny owl chick to a hare in a field…what delights! The hare looked like it was deliberately posing for the shot; utterly prepared for the intrusion of a human with a camera!
The hare is sentient being like you and I. Part of the glorious creation in which we each are included. Some times in the past year or so, during the pandemic, it has been hard to be positive. My default is to look at the negative, whilst I live with someone who has a positive default! But Helen helps me to spot things that I have missed, to ‘see’ differently. The hare sees differently, that is the joy of the diversity of creation.
Here are some familiar words from the mouth of Jesus; ‘Consider the lilies, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.’ (Luke 12;27)…all of creation included, nothing outside the orbit of the love of God.
If we could just accept the profound love of God for us, how our lives could be transformed. God is not the rather angry being who is always waiting for us to trip up or do something ‘wrong.’ How could we develop a relationship with such a being?
For a moment as I looked at the hare, I had a sense that she was closer to God than I am . Now there’s a thought!
