I think I took this photograph because of the play of light across the path and the bridge in the midground. The invitation is in the light, but in order to move to the light one has to pass through the shadow. Light and darkness are all part of the same continuum.
The interplay between the two is very powerful to the eye and other senses. Just give yourself a moment today to just be drawn to the promise of the light, not in fear of the darkness, but embracing what lies in your path today.
The addition of the bridge over the burn adds a further dimension for reflection. The sense of safety and invitation to what is ahead. We each worry about many things during our day but we need to pay heed to a rather simple, but ‘cheesy’ phrase…‘Let go, and let God.’
