The movement of clouds and the hills standing as a testimony to something more solid and permanent. In these moments we are experiencing and the uncertainty about many things a simple reflection on the solidity of the mountains is all I think I can offer.
Things seem to be happening in our world at the moment that disturb us and make us uncertain. I am caught in these moments and can sometimes end up dwelling on the negative rather than the positive.
The mountains are places of solitude and fear and hope and longimg, Jesus escaped to the empty spaces, literally. I hear the opening words of a well kmown song…‘Be still for the presence of the Lord, the holy one is here….’
Things happening because we make a step into the moment, and holding ourselves in this place, sensing the stillness of God in our hearts and souls. Soothing our fears by the overwhelming presence of the Holy Spirit. God’s gift to each of us.
